Priyanka Chopra-Raj/DK Get Together For Amazon’s Russo Brothers’ Series

In what could be considered a big step forward for the streaming platform in India, the directorial duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK have been signed by Amazon Prime Video to co-direct a 3-part American series called Citadel.

The series, featuring our own Priyanka Chopra and Game Of Thrones actor Richard Madden, is being designed and navigated by the Russo Brothers, Joe and Anthony, who directed the super-hero blockbuster The Avengers.

While Phase 1 of Citadel, featuring Madden and Chopra-Jonas, will be directed by the Russo brothers, Phase 2, entitled Citadel India, and to be shot in India, will be directed by Raj and DK. Priyanka may or may not feature in it.

While the Go Goa Gone directorial twosome is tightlipped about the project, sources say they flew to Los Angeles last week for their meeting with the Russo Brothers.

“They were on in no time at all. The Russos had seen Raj and DK’s work. The Russo Brothers were unconvinced whether Raj and DK would be the right fit for the global intelligence drama of Citadel,” says the source.

All three seasons of Citadel would be shot simultaneously – Citadel America with Madden and Priyanka Chopra, Citadel India and Citizen Italy.
