Ullu App is coming up with a web-series ‘Kasak’, which is based on a life of a rape victim.
After roping in Hate Story’s actress Ihana Dhillon, Sharhaan Singh, Vineet Raina the makers have now finalized Rio Kapadia and Gargi Patel to play important roles in the series.
‘Kasak’ is roughly inspired by the life of nurse Aruna Ramchandra Shanbaug, who was in a vegetative state since she was raped in a Mumbai hospital. Ihana will be playing the lead role.
Now we heard, “Rio and Gargi are roped in to play doctor and a nurse respectively. They will look-after the rape victim Sheetal (Ihana Dhillon) after the horrific incident took place.”
Confirming the buzz, Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji actress Gargi, who was last seen in ALTBalaji’s The Verdict – State vs Nanavati said, “I am playing the head nurse Aabroo, who is look-after the victim like a mother and always try to protect her.”
When contacted Rio, who was recently seen in ALTBalaji’s The Verdict – State vs Nanavati, City of Dreams and ZEE5’s Skyfire told us, “I am playing the role of Chirag, who is the senior doctor. He handled the case of Sheetal after she was brutally raped.”
‘Kasak’ is produced by Ullu App’s CEO Vibhu Agarwal, co-produced by Dreamzz Images Studio and directed by Deepak Pandey.
