The eagerly anticipated trailer for “Sankalp,” a socio-political thriller series, was released today and sparked online discussions. The series, available for free on Amazon MX Player starting March 11, 2026, marks Nana Patekar’s OTT debut. “Sankalp” is directed, written by Prakash Jha, and produced by Jyoti Deshpande (Jio Studios) and Dishaa Jhaa (PJP Films Productions).

The narrative explores “power” and “ideology” and examines how people pay for their beliefs. In the trailer sneak peek, we see the Guru has raised expectations through its concept, which presents a silent character who must make moral choices between different forms of authority. The series’s focus on “Sanskaar, Satta, Samarpan” (Values, Authority, and Dedication) hints at the layers that shape its visibility within the system.

The official trailer crackles with tension, then introduces an Ekalavya factor, who defiantly rejects the tradition of Guru Dakshina. Seamlessly weaving motifs from ancient Indian epics into a contemporary narrative, the series hints at a gripping exploration of how timeless legends and values might influence the political landscape of modern India.
