In the age of social media, where being seen is easy, it comes with consequences, too. Many may like you, but there are a lot who criticize or, to be more specific, make fun of or shame you on the basis of your appearance, color, caste, etc. And now, a popular dancer, Sushant Khatri, has become the victim of such trolling as netizens have been actively commenting on his appearance, skin-shaming the artist.

But with a firm stand, the dancer Sushant has confronted those commenting, urging them to ‘stop bullying’. In his note, he stated that he has noticed that many people have been commenting on his skin, and so today he chose to speak about it. He revealed that he has vitiligo, and it has no cure. He also shared he has been living with his condition for 4 to 5 years now and has chosen to publicly address the skin-shaming, sharing that he has accepted his skin and others should also understand this.

Sushant reflected that his skin might have changed now, but his heart remains the same, full of gratitude and love. And thanked all who supported him during his journey.

Sushant’s note reads, “#stopbullying
So many people have been commenting on my skin lately, and today I want to speak openly about it.
I have a condition called Vitiligo. It has no cure, and I’ve been living with it for the past 4-5 years.
Today, I choose to confront it publicly and honestly.
I accepted this a long time ago, and I hope you can understand and respect my journey too. My skin may have changed, but my heart remains the same full of love and gratitude for my army family, my fans, and my people.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me and stood by me during this time. Your love truly means everything to me.
#itsmylife.”
