Allow us to put things into perspective with more details.

Dear readers, the countdown has begun to 2021, to end! And while you already may be making your watchlist for countless series and films on the OTT platform, Amazon has decided to give its users a New Year gift, exclusively for the millions of cricket buffs that call India home.

From 1st January 2022, Amazon Prime Video shall feature live cricket streaming. Sayani Gupta known for her work in Four More Shots Please and Inside Edge also joined the exclusive chat to welcome the star cricketers from New Zealand Men & Women’s cricket teams – Kane Williamson, Sophie Devine, Suzie Bates, Amelia Kerr, Tim Southee and Kyle Jamieson.

Manoj Bajpayee welcomed Kane in his truest ‘Srikant Tiwari’ style and taught him to say ‘Don’t be a minimum guy’, a famous dialogue from Manoj Bajpayee starrer ‘The Family Man’.

Showcasing true sportsman spirit Kane answered all questions placed by the actor with incredible wit and his trademark humility

While Manoj Bajpayee tried to pull Kane’s leg, Kane’s humour-filled responses left Manoj Bajpayee a tad bit surprised. In a final twist to the hilarious chat, when Manoj asked Kane about his favourite Amazon series, expecting a mention of the much-loved Amazon Original Series ‘Family Man’, Kane quoted ‘Mirzapur’.

As the year comes to an end, Gaurav noted, “it’s truly an honour to entertain our diverse customer base and we are humbled by the overwhelming response we have received in India.”

Commenting on Prime Video’s entry into Live cricket, he said, “as we step to the bright new year, the pitch looks great for the game we want to play and we are thrilled to bring India’s most loved sport, Cricket.”

He concluded by saying, “we have a special place in our hearts and our screens for the brilliant and much-admired New Zealand men and women’s cricket teams, both of whom are highly ranked by the ICC across format between two will be an exciting action-packed year for fans across India,”
