Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are one of the most loved cricketer-actor couples. The two are major ‘couple’ goals for many. While they enjoy huge fandom, the couple prefers to keep their personal life largely private. When the two were in India, we often noticed their precautionary gestures to maintain privacy. Since they moved to London, it has become their primary base to offer the privacy they value. While the two never disclosed the reason, Madhuri Dixit’s husband, Dr Shriram Nene, revealed it.
During a 2025 interview with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia that is now going viral, Dr Nene shared his experience meeting Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, saying he respects the cricketer a lot and calling him a decent man.
According to Dr Nene, Anushka and Virat felt that the constant attention they receive in India made it difficult for them to enjoy their success and live a normal life. He emphasized that the two wished to raise their children in a setting free from intense public scrutiny, which often becomes part of celebrities’ lives.
Speaking on the difficulties of being recognized in public, Dr Nene reflected that, despite enjoying public interactions, it can sometimes be difficult to manage, as it always turns into a selfie moment.
Ultimately, Dr Nene described Anushka and Virat as lovely individuals who simply want a normal, quiet upbringing for their kids.
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli got married on December 11, 2017, and have two children: a daughter named Vamika, born on January 11, 2021, and a son named Akaay, born on February 15, 2024.
