ZEE5, the OTT destination that gives audiences a multilingual bouquet of programming will come up with a real-life depiction on the Supreme Court’s decision that homosexuality is not a crime in India.
Section 377 which was passed came into scrutiny when five petitioners sent out petitions to the Supreme Court to reconsider its own ruling.
The series will present a tale of five stories, and will tell the tale of these five petitioners.
Titled 377, the series will soon go on floor.
Coming to the cast, we hear that popular actor Manish Khanna who has recently been part of Vikram Bhatt’s series Zindabaad and is part of Balaji Telefilms’ TV show Qayamat Ki Raat will play a pivotal role.
As per a reliable source, “Manish Khanna will play the role of one such petitioner. He will play the part of Sunil Mehra.”
As we know, the five petitioners in real life were Navtej Singh Johar, Sunil Mehra, Ritu Dalmia, Aman Nath, Ayesha Kapur.
We buzzed Manish Khanna but he remained unavailable for comment.
We reached out to the spokesperson at ZEE5, but did not get revert from them.
