Amazon Prime Video has given great happiness to the fans by announcing season 2 of its popular reality show The Traitors. This game show hosted by Karan Johar has been in tremendous discussion among the audience since its first season. Now that the first season is going to end on July 3, the makers of the show gave this good news on social media that the second season of ‘The Traitors’ is in the preparation phase.
The Traitors has got a new season given the tremendous popularity of season 1 and the huge demand from the fans. The theme, twists and emotional gameplay of the show kept the audience hooked. Prime Video shared three posters on its official Instagram account and wrote,
“Fans of The Traitors, there has been a new murder. We killed it this season so… The Traitors Season 2 is in development.”
After the announcement, users on social media started naming their favourite contestants. A fan said, “Adaa Khan and Kashish Kapoor want to see in Season 2.” At the same time, someone also suggested the names of Jennifer Winget, Hina Khan, Aly Goni, Karanveer Mehra, Surbhi Chandna and Krushna Abhishek.
Prime Video India Director and Head of Originals, Nikhil Madhok said, “The Traitors has created a deep connection with the audience of India. The show has created a distinct identity for itself due to Karan Johar’s hosting and talented players.” He further added that the show pushes the boundaries of reality TV and now we are ready to make a bigger bang with Season 2.
The first season has been shot at Suryagarh Palace in Rajasthan. It featured 20 famous celebs, including Anshula Kapoor, Apoorva Mukhija, Raftaar, Jannat Zubair, Urfi Javed, Karan Kundrra, Maheep Kapoor, Jasmin Bhasin, and others.
The contestants who are left in the game after 6 episodes include, Anshula Kapoor, Apoorva Mukhija, Elnaaz Norouzi, Harsh Gurjal, Jannat Zubair, Janvi Gaur, Jasmin Bhasin, Nikita Luther, Purav Jha, Sudhanshu Pandey, Sufi Motiwala and Urfi Javed.
