Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan surprised one and all when he announced his first web venture, Netflix India’s Sacred Games. His portrayal as Sartaj left everyone sufficiently impressed. It received equal praise by critics as well as the audience.

Now, the actor is once again ready to dive into the digital world with his new web series Tandav.

Saif, who is gearing up for his upcoming movie Laal Kaptaan, recently announced his next web series which will be based along the lines of successful american political thriller House of Cards.

When talking about the show, he said that the project will be on a large scale and with its main theme as Indian Politics.

In a statement quoted by a leading daily, the actor said, “I don’t want to use American examples, but it’s along the lines of ‘House Of Cards’, although set within the framework of Indian politics. The plot takes into account various factions like Dalit politics and UP cops and the whole nexus between them”.

The web series will be directed by Bollywood director, Ali Abbas Zafar who will be making his debut in the digital space with this directorial venture. While the rest of cast is unknown, it is believed the shooting for the series will commence in the next couple months and the release should happen mid 2020.

Saif is one of those actors who made his transition from the big screen to the digital world seamlessly. It’d certainly exciting to see him take on a different role and wowing his audience once again.
