The series would be featuring Rajeev Khandelwal and Divyanka Tripathi in the lead role. Since the release of trailers, audiences are waiting eagerly to watch the series. Not only the pairing is unusual in the series but also the trailer featuring their chemistry is setting the screen on fire.
According to the post on social media handle regarding the series, it probably is the story of a young couple and their yesterday’s love. They first got connect and then fall in love as management students. Rajiv is playing chef Vikram and chef Nithya is played by Divyanka. Both the characters, initially in love, got separated due to differences that arise amongst them. This is responsible for bringing in the spice in the story.
As per the storyline in the starting Vikram and Nithya meets after 8 long years when Vikram is the new owner of her restaurant where Nithya was working. After having Vikram as her new boss, she is not willing to work anymore. There are numerous reasons responsible for their cold war and that’s why the title has been selected where Rajeev is cold lassi and Divyanka is hot-headed as masala chicken.
Both characters want the best from their job. Besides the lead couple, there are actors like Barkha Sengupta, Maninee Mishra, Navneet Nishan and Priyanshu Chatterjee in important roles.
According to Rajeev, the series is going to be a sweet and spicy mix of the romantic story which will offer spicy flavoured series watching experience to the audience. There are various challenges in the relationship which are beautifully written and shot by the director. As a leading actor, Rajiv confessed that they have been through special training as the part of the preparation for the role under the guidance of established chefs so that they can pick up the fine art of chopping, arranging and cooking, etc. According to him, the series is the perfect blend of love and hate relationship based around foodstuff. So the spice is inevitable in the story which is enhanced by character rendering the roles.
