The driver, however, gets out of his seat after failing to reverse the bus and draws the elephant’s attention to himself.

Supriya Sahu, Tamil Nadu’s Principal Secretary for Environment, Climate Change, and Forests, uploaded the tense video on Twitter.
Even after seeing the enraged tusker’s attack, Supriya Sahu thanked the bus driver for being calm and assisting the passengers in returning safely.

The nail-biting event occurred on September 25 and has had over 71k views to date, with the numbers continuing to rise.
However, after seeing the footage, netizens were scared and praised the calm driver for saving the passengers’ lives.

Many others advocated for the closure of highways that run through elephant routes.
