A mother elephant was seen forcefully trying to protect her child from a crocodile in a disturbing video. The footage, which was filmed during a safari in Zambia, has already gone viral. The footage depicts brutal combat between the elephant and the crocodile, and the outcome will astound you.
The elephant tries to stomp on something at the start of the video. It was obvious after a few minutes that the animal stuck beneath the elephant was a crocodile. After a battle, the elephant wraps its trunk around the crocodile’s tail and slams it into the riverbed. The video is captioned as, “Crocodiles are opportunistic hunters and have been known to prey on baby elephants. This mother elephant was not taking any chances and was not happy with the crocodile being so close to her young calf to protect her calf, she removed the threat of the crocodile entirely,”
“The continuous trampling by the female elephant weighing between 2,700 and 3,600 kg resulted in the inevitable death of the crocodile,” it continued.
Many people were shocked and disturbed by the footage. While some were taken aback by the sight of the elephant in this light, others pointed out that the crocodile stood little chance against the elephant.
