After having difficulty pronouncing the term LGBTQ2+ during a news conference, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been ridiculed on social media. A video of Trudeau being tongue-tied while attempting to communicate his opposition to LGBTQ+ children being forced to undergo conversion therapy has gone viral.

Is it LGDP, or something else?

No? LGT?

Then, LBT?

Nope!

In an awkward speech on September 11, Trudeau claimed, “I will never apologise for standing up for LGDP…LGT…LBT… LGBTQ2+ kids’ rights to not have to undergo conversion therapy,”

A woman’s voice could be heard trying to counsel the PM through the blunder. As Trudeau fumbled through his statement, looking embarrassed, she repeated quietly, “LGBTQ2+.”

The blunder was captured on film and has received over 2.6 million views on social media. While many internet users were struck speechless after watching the video, others mocked Canada’s Prime Minister.

“How is this not a sitcom scene?” one person wondered. “This video of Trudeau trying to say LGBTQ2+ is so human,” one person said. “The sigh he let out… he was fighting for his life,” said another person
