After India beat Pakistan in a league game of the 2019 ODI World Cup, Pakistani cricket fan Momin Saqib’s emotional yet humorous rant went viral on social media.
After Pakistan’s humiliating defeat in Manchester, Saqib had a nervous breakdown and began a diatribe against the “unfit” Sarfaraz Ahmed-led team. At the time, Saqib’s famous diatribe, “Waqt badal diya, jazbaat badal diya,” had managed to destroy the internet.
Now that the countdown has begun and only a few days remain until the India-Pakistan match on October 24, the Pakistani phenomenon has returned with two more humorous films for the forthcoming match.
Saqib asks his social media fans if they’re ready for another epic, nail-biting battle between arch-rivals in one of the videos. He then compares this match to the one depicted in Aamir Khan’s film Lagaan.
Saqib then goes on to add that he still can’t get over the 2019 loss. “Waqt ka pata hi nahi chala (how time flies),” he exclaims, his voice too dramatic.
On Instagram, the video has nearly one lakh likes and hundreds of comments.
Indian fans have stated that they are more interested in his post-match reaction than the game itself.
