Carter’s video was made with the use of Instagram’s duet feature. A user named @VeggieBirbLady submitted the original video of the cockatiel singing on TikTok. Carter sat at the keyboard, matching his notes to the cockatiel’s beat. Both artists have equally amusing and fantastic facial expressions. Check out the video for yourself:
Carter released the video on August 20th. He stated that a video by a user named Anna Douglas was his inspiration for the video. He praised the bird’s skills in his Instagram caption and wrote, “Saw the @annacdouglas video and figured I’d do one. I’ve done duets with pets before but his bird here was on a whole different skill level”. Since its release, the video has received over 144,988 views and over 1,000 comments on the social media platform.
Impressed Instagram users sent laughing emojis in the video’s comments section. Many people wished they had the voice of a cockatiel. Netizens applauded both the singer’s and Carter’s musical abilities at the same time.
