At Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal, a real-life version of ‘Pati, patni aur woh’ played out when a wife caught her husband red-handed with another woman in a gym. A video of the event has become popular on social media, and it shows the wife hitting her husband as another woman suspects the latter of having an affair with her husband.
The 30-year-old woman, accompanied by her sister, arrived at the gym where her husband was working out in the presence of his suspected lover and others. She had evidently followed her spouse for a long time since she had been suspicious of him. She accused her husband of having an affair with the girl when she arrived at the gym. He, on the other hand, disputed her charges and began abusing her. The verbal spat quickly escalated into a physical assault when the wife began striking the other woman with her slippers. When her husband tried to interfere, she yanked his hair and smacked him in the face with her shoes.
The incident occurred on October 15 in the Koh-e-Fiza neighborhood of the capital, and charges were filed on Sunday after the video went viral.

Koh-e-Fiza police station-in-charge Anil Bajpai stated that “The woman suspected that her husband was having a relationship with this woman in the gym. She started hitting the latter with shoes while others, including the man, tried to stop her. The entire ruckus went on for 10 minutes. On Sunday, the woman and her husband lodged complaints against each other.”
The man has rejected his wife’s accusations, claiming that he has never met the woman who has been dubbed his “girlfriend.”
Meanwhile, cases have been filed under sections 323 (intentionally causing harm), 294 (obscene act), and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) (criminal intimidation). The woman had previously filed a harassment and dowry complaint against her husband at the Shahjahanabad police station. Since then, the woman has been living with her parents, and the pair have been served with interrogation notices.
