Have you ever had an unexpected need for your comfort food while on the road? Most of us do, but there isn’t much that can be accomplished if the individual is in a running public transportation vehicle. However, one loco pilot’s need for kachori was so strong that he chose to stop the train in the middle of its journey to procure a plate of delectable food. The event occurred in Rajasthan’s Alwar district.

Footage of the strange encounter is currently circulating on various social media sites. The video, which shows a guy waiting in the centre of the railway tracks, was uploaded on Twitter by a Twitter user. The railway approaches the man and comes to a halt as he presents a packet of food to the loco pilot a few seconds into the video. The train gently pulls away from the station after receiving the kachoris.

The video went viral and received a lot of backlash from internet users. While some defended the operator, others pointed out that the event was illegal. The North Western Railways initiated disciplinary action against individuals involved when the video went viral online, suspending five personnel, including the loco pilot, assistant loco pilot, two gatemen, and a station master
