A multiplayer online game called Among Us was created and released by Innersloth. The 2D co-op game has amassed enormous popularity among Android users and has risen to the top of the Play Store’s most-played list. On social networking sites recently, the Among Us meme “This meme is from the future” has gained a lot of traction. The meme basically serves as a warning to viewers that it is a product of the future and that, if they aren’t from that time period, they won’t understand why it is hilarious. Reddit is where the meme first appeared, and it quickly spread to other social media sites like Instagram and Twitter. This meme is popular because it’s associated with the viral hit Among Us, and because generation Z humor is so peculiar, this meme fits right in.

The Android and IOS versions of Among Us are at no cost. Players only need to upgrade their game to gain access to the map. The Among Us Airship level will be accessible and playable for free following the update. Additionally, Innersloth made numerous changes to the game and disclosed on their official blog articles what changes they intend to make moving forward. The image will be entirely updated with clearer lines and a simpler animation approach, Innersloth stated in their official blog.

Additionally, they stated that they wanted to continue providing players with more frequent and transparent updates and that they planned to increase the lobby size to 15 players in upcoming releases. The patch notes for the Among Us Airship update can be found here. As you can see in the tweet that has the image posted above, the photograph’s original caption reads, “Me in real life,” or “Me.” Since the meme is (allegedly) from the future, it’s unclear how it relates to it.
