A lot of fashion dreams were realized at the recently finished India Couture Week 2022, which featured floral patterns, neons, elaborate sleeves, and plenty of glitters. The top designers in the nation displayed their best collections at Delhi’s major exhibition, which made a compelling case for sustainability and gender diversity.

It’s time to emerge from the darkness of loss and indulge in some glitz! Fibonacci, the newest couture collection from Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna, is high on pearls, crystals, and metallic fringes. Dramatic fabrics meet precise techniques in predetermined patterns.

“We present a world that is perfect, that just returned from the brink of chaos. Each garment is handmade,” said the duo. Sitara, a glittering collection by Suneet Varma, combined contemporary glitz with classic designs. Contemporary silhouettes and sequin saris paired with sultry blouses were in keeping with the designer’s distinctive look.

The bling factor was also increased by the enormous red and gold lehengas by designer Dolly J, which featured fluid textures and spectacular cascades. Metallics were incorporated by Rahul Mishra into their brand’s distinctive handcraft.

“The industry is moving towards sustainability. We have clients who want to know about the product, materials, and sourcing,” said Kunal Rawal.

The New Leaf collection by designer Varun Bahl featured voluminous lehengas, striking pantsuits, layered dresses in vibrant floral prints, patchwork embroideries, and intriguing textures that made for a dreamlike outing.
