Dying For That Eyeliner Cat Look? Here Are Some Tips That Made It Easy

Cat eyes provide a dramatic, beautiful appearance that is both traditional and modern. When you first start creating a cat eye, it’s simple to smudge your eyeliner or make it uneven, but with practice, you’ll be able to perfect the technique. If you want to test out a cat-eye, there are two ways to do it. You may use a cosmetic brush or tape as a guide to creating a simple outline for your cat-eye. Liquid eyeliner reigns supreme for cat eyes, but if that’s all you have, try layering pencil eyeliner.

From your lash line to your crease, sweep a light or neutral eyeshadow. Using an eyeshadow brush, apply a neutral, nude, or light shade of eyeshadow across your whole lid. The powder will smooth out your lids and make it simpler to apply eyeliner. Because cat eyes are so eye-catching, choose a color that matches or is slightly lighter than your skin tone rather than a darker shade that may appear overdone.

Tape a short piece of transparent tape onto your hand. To remove some of the glue, stick it to your hand and pull it up numerous times. This makes the tape less sticky and softer on the sensitive area around your eyes.

Place the tape along the outside corner of your eye. Position the tape slightly behind your lower lashes, with the top angled towards your temple. Then, using the pad of your finger, softly press it down to prevent your eyeliner from bleeding under the tape.

Draw a line from the inner to the outside corner of your eye. Apply your liquid, felt tip, or gel eyeliner as usual, but make the line thicker as you go.

Use the tape as a guide to extending the line past the corner of your eye. Just above the tape, carefully drag your eyeliner over your skin. As you get closer to the tape’s conclusion, the line narrows to a point. Don’t worry if eyeliner spills on the tape; just follow the tape line as neatly as you can.

Carefully remove the tape, then make any necessary touch-ups. Take hold of the tape’s lower edge and slowly remove it from your skin. There will be a gorgeous, crisp line left behind when you remove the tape.
