One positive outcome of the recent season’s greater variety of fashion audiences? Seeing one or more members of the Korean girl group Blackpink on the front row during fashion week. Jennie, Rosé, Jisoo, and Lisa use the front rows at fashion’s most prestigious brand shows to showcase more laid-back appearances, even though their synchronized outfits for their high-energy performances are best described as “maximal.”

That isn’t to suggest that they don’t try. The females will be dressed in Chanel, Celine, or Prada from head to toe, with a scattering of desirable accessories and a perfectly coiffed haircut. Each has a favorite house: Jennie sees Chanel presentations on a monthly basis, and Lisa enjoys seeing Hedi Slimane’s Celine designs during Paris Fashion Week, having also visited Prada in Milan last season.

Jennie in Chanel’s SS19 campaign

Jennie wore a classic Chanel pale blue tweed suit to the Chanel presentation at the Grand Palais in Paris. The style was finished with a similar Chanel purse and an assortment of mixed-metal Coco Crush rings, which went nicely with Karl Lagerfeld’s picturesque beach set.

Jennie in Chanel’s AW19 collection

Jennie paid her homage to Karl Lagerfeld at the autumn/winter 2019 show, wearing a modest chain-trim Chanel shift dress with a logo belt and stylish black shoes, only a few weeks after the designer passed away.

Lisa in Michael Kors’ SS19 Collection

Lisa traveled from her home in Seoul to New York Fashion Week to see the Michael Kors Collection spring/summer 2019 collection. She wore a polka-dot dress and a purse with a contrasting floral print from the previous season’s collection.

Coach SS19: Rosé & Jisoo

We don’t frequently see the members of Blackpink walk the runway together, but Rosé and Jisoo made an exception for the Coach spring/summer 2019 fashion show. They channeled Stuart Vevers’ love of prairie-style attire and channeled NYC flair with glossy blow dries.
