The only thing your skin is requesting as the temperature soars are moisture. Face moisturizers are used to pamper our faces, but occasionally we overlook the necessity to also pamper and care for our bodies. But our skin can also become severely dry and dehydrated, which can result in white or dark areas, skin that is flaking and peeling, and more. Body lotions should be applied year-round to maintain healthy, soft skin, not just during the winter or when you have dry skin problems.

These DIY homemade body lotion recipes are ideal for people with delicate skin types or skin types that normally don’t react well to synthetic items. First, you just expose your skin to components that are right for it and get rid of all the toxic chemicals and preservatives. You also have the option of personalizing your lotion by including or excluding elements that you prefer. You can even experiment with your lotion’s smell by combining different essential oils.

COCOA BUTTER BODY LOTION

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons beeswax
½ cup extra virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons vitamin E oil
2 tablespoons cocoa butter
¾ cup rose water

Method: Beeswax, cocoa butter, and almond oil should all be melted using the double boiler method. When using a double boiler, you stack one glass bowl on top of another that is directly over an open flame and put the substance you want to melt in the bowl above. After adding vitamin E oil, remove it from the heat after one minute. Once you see the rose water blending, add the oil mixture slowly to the mixer along with the remaining rose water. Your homemade body lotion will be a creamy white color once it has been emulsified and blended.

ALOE VERA BODY LOTION

Ingredients:

1 cup Aloe vera gel
½ cup Grated beeswax
½ cup Grapeseed oil
1 tsp Vitamin E oil
15 drops of Essential oil (tea tree/lavender)

Method: Aloe vera, vitamin E oil, and essential oil should first be mixed thoroughly in a small dish while at room temperature. Then, put the bowl with the beeswax and grapeseed oil in a pan of boiling water. Boiling should be done while stirring to prevent lumps; once the wax is melted completely, remove it from heat. After it has cooled, blend the wax and aloe vera mixes together in a blender to create your silky homemade body lotion.

COCONUT OIL AND SHEA BUTTER BODY LOTION

Ingredients:

1/2 cup of shea butter
1/4 cup of coconut oil
1/4 cup of avocado oil.
3 tablespoons arrowroot powder
10 drops of essential oil

Method: The melting time is drastically shortened because there isn’t any beeswax present. All of the oils and butter have a propensity to melt quickly. So first, put the shea butter, avocado oil, and coconut oil in a jar and heat them over medium heat until they totally melt and liquefy. After that is finished, remove the liquid from the heat and stir in 8 to 10 drops of any essential oil. Put it in the refrigerator to slightly solidify it. Your homemade body lotion is ready after you add the arrowroot powder and combine.
