Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, known as Katy Perry, is an American vocalist, songwriter, and television judge. She used to perform, sing at the church choir when she was young, and eventually attained a profession in gospel music as a teenager. Perry joined and signed an agreement with Red Hill Records and produced her very first studio album Katy Hudson in 2001, which perhaps didn’t become successful.
