Rosé, a member of one of the most well-known K-pop idol groups, Blackpink, made her Met Gala debut this year. The Korean-New Zealand singer was spotted wearing a Saint Laurent design as she walked the red carpet alongside Anthony Vaccarello, the French luxury fashion house’s creative and image director.

Viewers were able to watch how Rosé prepped for her Met Gala outfit in a video provided by Vogue. Rosé enters The Peninsula, a hotel on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, New York, where she meets up with her hair, makeup, and styling crew. Rosé, dressed in a white robe, is shown eating a dinner that includes dumplings in a soup. The 24-year-old singer can also be heard asking for rice while waiting for her hair and cosmetics to be applied.

The K-pop star revealed that her elder sister was the first person she phoned to inform her of her Met Gala invitation. Rosé had no idea she’d be attending one of the major fashion shows herself. The singer compared the experience to her Coachella performance with the other members of Blackpink, Lisa, Jisoo, and Jennie. In 2019, Blackpink played at the American Music Festival. They were also the first K-pop female group to perform at Coachella.

Rosé attended the Met Gala with a black tiny dress with a choker necklace and earrings and black stilettos.
