I cook for occasions. But, I always supervise what my family is eating. I have mastered my cooking skill over some time. I love our INDIAN cuisine a lot to learn and experience the aroma and flavour. Bengali, Rajasthani, Kashmiri, Punjabi, Gujarati, Mughlai, trust me the list is long. I have made almost everything. Dal Bhat to Litti Chokha to Biryani, my fondness for food is vivid and soulful.

Well, recipe I can’t really tell, it depends. But one thing is sure, your mood reflects tastes. So, my secret recipe is love and compassion while cooking and otherwise also.

Veg or Non Veg?

I am a non-vegetarian but I prefer veg food for everyday meal. There is an endless category when you see veg items. I have explored that as well. Laal saag is my favourite.

Baked or fried?

I am health conscious but can’t really let go of my childhood habits. So yes fried

Soup or salad?

That’s a difficult pick. I enjoy both but I would like to go for soup over salad.

One vegetable that you hate the most?

It has to be brinjal. I don’t know why I hate it so much. But it makes me upset instantly. No wonder I never tried cooking brinjal. Though Begun Bhaja is very famous in Bengali Bhoj. But I never used to touch it since childhood only.

The dish that your family loves when you make:

My family loves everything I make. And they can tell my mood according to the selection of food items. Also, it makes them happy that I am cooking, since I am otherwise busy and hardly get time to cook.

The best compliment got was for which dish:

It has to be from my in-laws. My first rasoi at my sasural and I prepared lunch for the entire kutumb approximately for 30 people. The preparation was chaotic and blissful of course. I had a lot of helping hands but it was one of a kind moment.

I made full course meal that includes Garlic Naan, Plain Roti, Chicken Bhuna, Zeera Rice, Daal Tadka, Cucumber and Boondi Raita, Chaas, Sheerkhurma
