Mumbai masala pav is considered to be famous street food that is spicy and filling. Soft buttery pav bun is stuffed with spicy masala. And it is served with coriander leaves and coconut and an extra topping of cheese. Here is the delicious recipe for masala pav.

If boiled potatoes are ready then it takes hardly 15 minutes to make masala pav. The masala which is required is mostly made on Tava and even bun cooked on the same tava.

INGREDIENTS.

Ingredients for masala pav are as follows.

8 masala pav, 4 tbsp butter, 1 tbsp cumin seeds, 2 chopped onions, 1 cup bell pepper/ capsicum finely chopped, 4 large tomatoes finely chopped, salt, chili powder, 1 tbsp pav bhaji masala, coriander leaves, green chilies, and 1 tbsp lemon juice.

INSTRUCTIONS.

1. Heat the one tbsp butter on tawa and add cumin seeds.

2. Add onions, chopped tomatoes, capsicum and water.

3. Cook for around seven minutes on low flame, till it becomes slightly mushy.

4. Add tomatoes, salt, chili powder, and pav bhaji masala and a cup of water.

5. Stir and mash it occasionally. Mix and cook for a few minutes.

6. Add coriander and green chillies after removing them from heat.

7. Heat butter on tawa and add aloo masala and little water and cook.

8. Slit pav horizontally, and heat on Tava.

9. Spread the by masala evenly on pav till it gets full coat from all sides.

10. Serve hot by putting coriander and cheese over it. It is delicious to eat hot, especially with tea or coffee. It’s a great breakfast option.
