This easy mutton masala recipe is made using simple ingredients available in every kitchen and you can have it with rice and all Indian bread. Here is the recipe for Punjabi mutton masala.

500 grams mutton, 4 tablespoon ghee, 2 tablespoon coriander powder, 1/2 cup yoghurt, 4 onion, 2 teaspoon ginger paste, 2 teaspoon garlic paste, 2 teaspoons red chilli powder, 4 cloves, 3 tomatoes, 5 green cardamoms, 8 peppercorns, 1 cinnamon stick, 1 teaspoon garam masala, salt as required, turmeric powder and 2 cup water.

Procedure.

* Put a large pan over medium flame and melt ghee in it. Then add spices and saute this for a minute and add sliced onion and Salt. Let onion turns light brown. Add ginger and garlic paste and cook the mixture until the raw smell disappears.

* Now add turmeric powder, coriander powder, and red chilli powder and mix it well. Add tomatoes and cook well. Now add washed mutton pieces in it and mix it properly. Ensure mutton pieces evenly coated with the masala.

* Pour yoghurt, mix well and cook for 5 minutes and then add water. Stir well in between and check the seasoning once. Then add garam masala and chopped coriander leaves. Stir and cook for around half an hour, to ensure mutton isn’t raw and perfectly juicy. Once cooked, serve in a bowl and have it with rice or naan. You can add mustard oil as the base and boil potatoes if you wish.
