Kriti posted a picture of some delicious-looking halwa, puri, and chana, typically served on Ashtami, and we are drooling!

Check Out The Recipe –

Ingredients:

For Halwa – 1 cup suji, 1 cup sugar, 4 cup water, 5-6 pieces dry coconut, ½ cup desi ghee, 3 tbsp Raisins.

For Chana – 1 cup black chana, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tsp salt, 2 tbsp oil, 1 tsp cumin powder, 1 tbsp Chana masala, ¼ tsp red chili powder.

For Puri – 1 cup whole wheat flour, 1 cup water, 2 tbsp suji, and 4-5 cup oil (for frying).

Procedure:

For Halwa –

Take a wok, and add ghee to it. Add suji and fry until it becomes golden brown. If needed, you can add more ghee. Add water and cook for a min. Keep the gas on low flame. Then add sugar to it. Add dry coconut and raisin and stir at low gas for 8-10 mins. Halwa will be ready when it does not stick to the wok.

For Chana –

Wash the chana properly and soak them in water overnight. Next day pour the chana into a pressure cooker along with the water it soaks in. Add a little water to the chana and boil it in a pressure cooker for 10 mins.

Take a pan, and add ghee to it. Add cumin seed and let the cumin get tempered in hot oil. Add salt, red chili powder, degi mirchi, cumin powder, and chana masala. Mix well. Keep the chana on gas and heat it. So that the water dries. Put tadka in boiled chana and simmer it for 10 minutes until chana absorbs all masala. Chana is now ready.

For Puri

Knead the wheat flour, Fuji, with water to form a thick flour. Make small balls and roll them into a flat puro shape. Heat oil in a wok. Deep fry the puris until it becomes golden brown from both sides. Drain on kitchen tissue paper. Serve halwa, puri, and chana together.
