Okra is one of the most used and loved food in India. We have a lot of varieties in it and also multiple ways to cook it.

Some people are not able to digest okra easily, so here are some amazing recipes you need to try that will digest easily.

1. Curried Okra-
Ingredients- To make this dish, you will need 2 cups of okra, 1/2 chopped onion, 2 diced tomatoes, 2 cloves of garlic, 1 inch of grated ginger, 1 tsp of cumin seeds, 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp of coriander powder, 1/2 tsp of sea salt (or to taste), and 1/2 tsp of garam masala.

Procedure-

1. Wash the okra and slit each one properly.
2. Grind tomatoes, garlic, ginger, and cumin seeds into a paste. Don’t use water in it.
3. Heat the tomato paste in a large skillet and cook for a while.
4. Now, add chopped onions and cook.
5. Add okra, turmeric, coriander and salt. Cook again while adding water after 10 minutes. Do not cover the pan and mix everything without breaking the okra.
6. Add the garam masala and mix.
7. Serve hot!

2. Bhindi Bhaji-
Ingredients– 2 tbsp vegetable oil, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 peeled and crushed onion, 4 peeled and crushed garlic cloves, 1 finely chopped green chill , 450g okra, ½ tsp turmeric, ½ tsp chili powder, ½ tsp garam masala, 1 tsp ground coriander, 2 chopped tomatoes , Salt to taste.

Procedure:-

1. Fry cumin seeds until they turn aromatic.
2. Now, add onion, garlic, and chili and fry until they are softened and slightly browned.
3. Add okra and stir.
4. Cover with the lid and cook.
5. Now add turmeric, coriander, chili powder, garam masala, and tomato to the okra.
6. Cover it and cook properly.
7. Once the okra’s color is changed slightly, the dish is cooked and ready to serve.
8. Serve hot!
