This recipe is made with the most amazing 5-ingredient honey garlic sauce which is drooling and delicious and you’ll want to use it on everything and not just the chicken.

The sauce tastes amazing, it’s very incredibly satisfying to have the perfectly balanced savory, sweet and garlicky syrup. As the sauce simmers all-around your chicken and coats it so effortlessly, your mouth will surely start to drool.

INGREDIENTS

6 chicken thighs (with or without skin)

Salt and pepper and 2 tablespoon garlic powder for seasoning

6 cloves garlic, crushed

2 tablespoon honey

1/2 cup water (or chicken broth)

2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar (or apple cider vinegar, or any white vinegar)

1 tablespoon soy sauce

INSTRUCTIONS

Firstly season the chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder; and let it set aside.

Heat a pan on a medium-high flame, and add oil, and grill the chicken thigh or breast fillets on both sides until golden. And let it cool throughout.

Reduce heat after cooking on both sides, cover with a lid and continue cooking until the chicken is cooked throughout, keep turning every 5 minutes until completely done.

Drain to remove excess oil from the pan, leave about 2 tablespoons of oil in the pan itself.

FOR SAUCE:

When chicken is done and cooked through, keep it aside.

Add the garlic to the oil and cook well. Add vinegar and soy sauce. Increase the flame to medium-high and continue to cook until the sauce reduces down and thicken slightly.

Add the chicken pieces and cook properly (about 3-4 minutes).

Garnish with coriander and serve with veggies, rice, pasta, or with a salad.
