Most people face constipation problems now and then. There are various types of treatment you can follow. Medication and over-the-counter treatments can help. There are other alternative therapies which include yoga. Here we look at yoga poses for people who suffer from constipation.

HALF SPINAL TWIST.

* Sit leg straight in front of the body.

* Bend the right leg placing the right foot on the ground itself.

* Bend left leg and place it under the buttock.

* Gently twist your face towards the right shoulder.

* Hold the breath for few seconds and then switch sides.

SUPINE SPINAL TWIST.

* Lie flat on the back.

* Bring arms out in T position with palms down.

* Bend one leg at the knee.

* Keeping shoulder flat, let the bent leg drop over the other leg.

* Hold the breath for few seconds and repeat on the opposite side.

COBRA POSE.

This pose doesn’t require any twist but it is very effective for gas problem.

* Lie flat on stomach, toes pointed out.

* Place palms on the floor wide apart from your shoulders.

* Lift your head slowly making a curve arch.

* Gently lift the shoulder and upper body. Hold several breaths, release and back to normal.

LEGS UP THE WALL POSE.

* Sit on the floor placing your back on the wall.

* Lower the back to the floor and hips close to the wall, and walk legs against the wall.

* Stay in this position for as long as you can hold it comfortably.

* Release after few seconds.

WIND RELIEVING POSE.

* Lie on the back and pull knees towards the chest.

* Hold this pose for few seconds and release it to bring the normal position.

ADAMANT POSE.

This yoga poses considered to be the best for many ailments, including constipation. One of the easiest and best Yoga pose.

* Kneel with knees and toes touching and heels apart.

* Straighten back and place hands on lap.

* Hold the pose for as much as possible and release.
