With the COVID-19 pandemic bringing about an environment of uncertainty and gloom, Zee TV recognizes the need of the hour to lighten the mood and spread cheer with its first fiction offering post lockdown. The channel is all set to introduce a refreshing comedy of errors, Ram Pyaare Sirf Humare, that will get families together and make them laugh with its engaging light-hearted narrative.
The situational comedy follows the life of a young woman Dulari and her ‘prize catch’ of a charming husband – Ram. Set in Bhopal, the story of Ram Pyaare Sirf Humare captures how this married woman, who is amply aware of how her ideal husband is the cynosure of every woman’s eyes, turns to a book of worldly wisdom with traditional ‘nuskas’ to keep him safe from the clutches of other women vying for his attention. Bringing shades of grey into this picture-perfect love story is Ram and Dulari’s strikingly attractive neighbour, Koyal. Portrayed by the very talented Shamin Mannan, Koyal is an alluring and charmingly talented, smart and out-going personality.
While Shamin is an extremely versatile actor, she is going the extra mile to ace her character. Being a health and fitness enthusiast, she practices yoga and its various art forms on a daily basis. However, prior to the show, she used yoga not only to look her part, but also to give her peace and confidence to work in the post-Lockdown scenario. To Shamin, yoga has now become a lifestyle. While she has been practicing the art form for over than 2 years now, post Lockdown, the actress literally never misses her practice sessions, not even while she is travelling or working. Wherever she goes, yoga goes with her!
As Shamin Mannan who plays Koyal in Ram Pyaare Sirf Humare revealed, “Yoga is not just a type of physical workout for me, it’s now a part of my lifestyle. Yoga helps me on a mental, emotional and physical level. It has made me more focused and disciplined, especially in these challenging times. In fact, apart from making me more flexible, strong, lean and toned, it has been meditative for me too. I’ve become a yoga addict and I make sure not to miss my practice sessions even if I am travelling or working. I love challenging myself to do difficult poses while maintaining a calm and peaceful state of mind. It has even increased my immunity and made me a better person on all levels. With the shooting of Ram Pyaare Sirf Humare in full swing, Yoga helps me unwind after a long hard day and it has helped me focus better while shooting during these new normal circumstances.”
