Yoga is an ancient form of exercise for mind and body health that helps you relax your entire body. Yoga is much popular nowadays. Worldwide 21st June is celebrated as world yoga day. If you wish to tone your body many yoga poses will take care of everything. All yoga poses to be performed at least one hour after meals. Here we look at a few yoga poses that relax your whole body.
Kneel on the floor and sit on your heels with your knees and hips wide apart. Extend your arms in front of you and face downwards on the floor. Hold this position for about two minutes while you deeply inhale and exhale.
Begin with table position, arms under shoulder, palms and knees flat and tops of feet flat on the mat. Tuck your toes, exhale, and lift your rear in the air. Press your palm firmly on the mat with your fingers spread. Your head should hang between your arms. Stretch your leg and prepare to hold the post. Pick up one heel and lower the other. Alternate with others several times.
Begin in downward dog. Your arm should be perpendicular to the floor and shoulders directly over your wrists. Back straight and abs tight. Lift your head and look straight down at the floor and hold this position for one minute and relax. This yoga pose is best for your whole body to relax.
Bend at the waist and fingertips of your right hand to the floor, outside your right foot. Extend left arm above head creating a straight line between left hand and foot. Hold breath and repeat for better results.
This is also a good pose for relaxing your whole body. Stand straight and bend your left so that your knee touches the wall and feet on your right thigh. Press your foot into the thigh and thigh into the foot. Hold for 30 seconds and switch sides.
REVERSE BOAT POSE.
Lie face down, chin on the floor, arms stretched out in front. Exhale, inhale, and lift both arms and legs at the same time. Hold and breath, release and lower.
There are lots of poses like spinal twist, Bridge, full boat pose that can be performed for relaxing your whole body.
