Popular singer Jashan Bhumkar, who recreated his own rendition of ‘Bhay Ithale Sampat Nahi,’ which received a lot of love on social media, is in love with his house and hence he got in a candid chat with IWMBuzz.com for our home décor segment and revealed his favourite corner in the house, dream house, and more.
Which is your favourite corner in your house?
My favourite part of my home is a conservatory-type extension of our living room that opens into our backyard. It is laden with warm colors, dim lighting, and cozy seating including a day bed. I love huddling there with family and close friends.
What should your dream house look like?
I am fortunate to have two homes in two different corners of Mumbai. So between a bungalow in Thane and a penthouse at Malabar Hill, I have pretty much all my likes and fancies covered.
What colour combination would you like to paint your house?
My family and I are all about color so you will find a lot of bold use of color in our homes. For example, the room itself is navy blue with piano-inspired black and gold wallpaper. Our living room is moon white accentuated with ornate, colorful wallpaper.
Who will be the first guest that you would call after designing your dream house?
As soon as my home was ready after renovations earlier last year, we kept a music program and actually welcomed a lot of music lovers, which brought many positive vibes into our space! Other than that, our doors are always open for near and dear ones!
What should your window view look like?
In one of my homes, I wake up to a nice, large garden. In my other home, I wake up to the sea and Chowpatty beach on one side, and other skyscrapers of Mumbai on the other side. Between that view outside, and the wonderful view of my beloved family inside my home, I have nothing to complain about.
Wallpaper or paint?
I believe that both Wallpaper and Paint can be used in the right combinations with each other to give a great look to a space.
