21-year-old Jordan Griffin, widely known today as Jgriff, has had a unique artistic journey, to say the least. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Griffin rose to notoriety at a young age- for his skill and accomplishments as a semi-professional skateboarder. He picked up the board at the age of 10, and quickly grew to love the sport as it was a way to express his ingenuity and release his feelings through movement. Skateboarding was a way to let go, a way to embrace, and as our passions often are- a form of escapism to the most creative parts of his mind. To no surprise, every session was accompanied by one necessity- a killer playlist.

Beyond his love for music, Griffin also had the desire to make it himself- though he struggled for years with insecurities surrounding what would be his venture into the industry. Between wanting to maintain his passion for skating while pursuing his passion for music, and consumed with thoughts of how it would be received as he was a novice artist already in the spotlight, it took quite some time for him to work up the courage to step up to the mic. But once he did, he says it came more naturally than he could have ever imagined. At the age of 18, successful skateboarder Jordan Griffin dropped into the music scene with a bang- releasing a

10-song project under his now iconic moniker, Jgriff. He credits the origin of the name with a 5th grade homework assignment- to graffiti his name in a drawing. He chose to pay homage to one of heroes, professional skateboarder Paul Rodriguez (P-Rod) and, well… the rest is history.

Fast forward quite a bit and as of 2021, Jgriff is an accomplished skateboarder, singer-songwriter, graphic designer, influencer and entrepreneur. He has collaborated with the likes of Futuristic and Justina Valentine, co-stars in a podcast with fellow celebrated artists Alex Catrambone and Matty Moonshine, has an Amazon No. 1 best-selling book on navigating the music industry, was featured on Barstool Sports and is releasing his first full-length LP in just a few short months. From the looks of it, Jgriff is not just a jack of all trades, he’s a master of many. Having always created his own path, he looks forward to the future because he knows what it holds- whatever he chooses.
