Recently, South Korea welcomed visitors back. At the same time, their embassy began accepting visa applications. Apart from obtaining a visa, the most challenging aspect of traveling to South Korea is avoiding getting COVID-19 before or after your flight.

The same requirements apply for visas as in 2019. Printing forms on A4 paper is required. All supplied documentation must be verifiable. An employment certificate, for instance, must include the company’s phone number and email address. Emails from personal accounts are not permitted.

There are no current special promotions that give holders of partner credit cards multiple entries. The processing of an application takes five working days, and the Korean Embassy accepts walk-ins from 8:30 to 11 am Monday through Friday. Filipinos can still obtain free Korean visas.

The Korea Visa portal, run by the diplomatic mission, allows users to check the status of their visas.
Stickers are no longer used to issue visas. You must print them and bring them with you to immigration.

The Q-code can be filled out 48 hours before departure. It will ask for details such as your hotel address, phone number, and vaccination status.

Q-code: Tourists who are fully immunized are not subject to quarantine. Those who have finished the two initial vaccinations within 180 days or who have received a third booster shot are considered fully immunized.
The Bureau of Quarantine’s yellow card, which serves as a certificate, is not required for the Q-code. It is sufficient to show the VaxCertPH immunization certificate.

Reverse transmission-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test results from 48 hours prior to travel will also be required for the Q-code. Alternatively, you can choose the less expensive quick antigen test, but it must be completed the day before your flight. The results must be provided by a lab that has Department of Health accreditation.
