We all enjoy rainy days because of the scent of soggy grass and soil, the sound of the raindrops hitting the ground, and the warmth of a hot cup of tea. The season also brings illnesses, mishaps, and natural disasters, though. So, we’ve put up a list to aid you in making travel arrangements during the monsoon.
1. Deciding where to go-
Choose a destination that is safe to go to if you’re taking a road trip. In many cases, rain-washed-away roads might leave you stranded for hours, so be sure to check your route in advance. Avoid using uneven, rocky roads while traveling at night. Avoid visiting hilly places during the monsoon since landslides, floods, and mudslides are increasing in higher altitude areas. Conduct a thorough study before selecting a location.
2. Remember to bring additional clothing-
Bring extra clothing and towels for everyone in the family so you can change if you get wet. Carry extra synthetic clothing that is lightweight and quick to dry. Pack a few warm garments that will keep you from becoming sick in your backpack.
3. Bring some food and water with you-
Avoid eating food from roadside vendors or drinking water from public fountains during the monsoon since it might cause several waterborne infections. Food-borne illnesses like food poisoning, diarrhea, and stomach aches can be brought on by unhygienic food. Take light or prepared food. When traveling, it’s usually a good idea to include seasonal fruits on your menu. Carry bottled water at all times, and it would be best if you could boil it before consuming it.
4. Travel with a waterproof bag-
To keep your belongings secure, carry waterproof bags. Get a waterproof luggage cover if you don’t already have waterproof travel bags. Who doesn’t enjoy taking beautiful photos when traveling? Breaking your phone or camera while traveling is the last thing you want to happen, so make sure you have clear, waterproof, airtight cases with you to protect them.
