4) Size, type, and cost:
There are different categories of houseboats depending on their size, ranging from Deluxe to D grade. You can expect to shell out anywhere between Rs. 8k to Rs. 15k per night for a good quality houseboat and between Rs. 4k and Rs. 7k for one with a decent budget, as per a TripSavvy report.

5) Facilities:
You could check out facilities like power supply, wifi, 24-hour hot water, and television before picking up your houseboat. You could even look into the price of Shikaras to and fro from the boat.

6) Tours:
Some houseboat owners book tours for guests as well! Research the cost beforehand though!

7) Rate drops:
If you go during the winters, the price is substantially lower. The price dropped by over 50%. On the other hand, it’s especially high during April.
