Pratik Gandhi used to work in Reliance and simultaneously used to practice in Prithvi Theatre.

He came to Mumbai to continue his passion and lived with his whole family in a very small house.

He was keen to become an actor but also an engineer so he did both and struggled to survive in Mumbai.

He struggled for 15 years to reach where he is now. When people say he is an overnight star, he always says “The night was 15 years long”.

He also got rejected in many auditions due to his looks. But he never lost his hope.

When he played a role in “Wrong Side Raju” and it got hit, he decided to quit his job finally and gave his whole time to acting.

His inspiration is Sanjeev Kumar.

Pratik gained 18kg weight for the blockbuster hit Scam 1992, just to look like Harshad Mehta.

One of his plays even got registered under Limca’s book of records as it was performed in three languages in a single day.

He could relate to Harshad Mehta’s story as it was similar to his struggling days. He did a lot of research about the character and even met some people of BSE before playing his character as Harshad Mehta.
