42 years down the line, when Amitabh Bachchan came with DON, it certainly did glorify the underworld and made it all glamourous but the entire credit for the same goes to Bachchan’s swag and style.
Such was the charm of the movie that Farhan Akhtar recreated DON and DON 2 again in 2006 and 2011 respectively with Shah Rukh Khan. The amazing and well-written dialogues of Salim-Javed in DON were carried forward earlier by Javed Akhtar in his son’s directorial.
It was only yesterday that this iconic movie DON completed a whopping 42 years in the industry and this number is not a joke at all. What’s even more amazing is BIG B had even received the prestigious Filmfare award for the same and it is indeed a special movie for him.
