Real name Angelina Jolie Voight, the American actress and filmmaker Angelina Jolie was born in Los Angeles, California, on June 4, 1975. She is well known for both her humanitarian activities and her edgy attraction to men. She won an Academy Award for her supporting role as a patient with mental illness in the movie Girl, Interrupted (1999). Jolie, the actor Jon Voight’s daughter, spent the majority of her childhood in New York before relocating to Los Angeles at the age of 11. She spent two years studying at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute before enrolling in Beverly Hills High School. Later, she attended New York University to study acting. She did modeling and starred in music videos in addition to acting in theatrical shows.

Angelina Jolie is experimenting with a new aesthetic. The new single director was photographed in New York City carrying a flirtatious winged liner, her typical glossy blowout, and perfect skin in tow, just two months after the mother of six made her much-anticipated haircut debut. Although the dramatic cat-eye is nothing new (many timeless icons before her have made the exaggerated liner part of their everyday routines), Jolie has long preferred come-as-you-are styling, so this is somewhat of a departure. Just a few days after the account of author Loung Ung’s youth during the Cambodian-Vietnamese War received a Golden Globe nomination, Jolie was in town for a speaking engagement on behalf of her recently released Netflix film First They Killed My Father. Jolie gave advice to the young women in the audience at the 92nd Street Y about the value of knowledge and travel.

With her glowing skin on show, it is safe to assume that the artistic feline flick only fueled the important discussion and left bystanders in awe of her inherent beauty and grace. We can only hope that Jolie will arrive at the awards show with a peony-colored lip to match her new winter look.
