Ankit Mohan the talented actor who rose to fame with Shobha Somnath Ki and bagged performance-oriented roles in TV shows Mahabharat, Kumkum Bhagya, Begusarai, Naagin 3 etc are all set for the shoot of his next film, Babu.
Ankit who has done films like Mausam, Farzand etc will play the lead role in the Marathi film Babu. The film will be Mayur Madhukar Shinde’s directorial debut.
The recently released motion poster of the film has Ankit Mohan displaying his well-toned physique, while he stands on a boat.
Says Ankit, “The prep for the film Babu required me to work on many things. I have started my classes on Kalaripayattu, and martial arts. I am doing more Yoga. I am basically into different activities for a different frame for the character in this film.”
Talking about Babu, Ankit states, “It is a complete recipe with all the ingredients needed for entertainment. We have emotion, romance, fight, action, drama, dance and music in it. The film will release by the end of this year.”
On the character, Ankit who was last seen in Kaatelal & Sons, explains, “Any normal person will relate to this character. The character is so genuine and real. He is a hard-working guy, and his journey will be appealing to see. How he fights for his rights and stands for himself, will be a pleasant watch. Babu is an action hero who does everything, and can even be seen dancing too. “
Ankit Mohan was destined to get this role and there is a cute story behind it. “Yes, I was shooting for Kaatelal & Sons when I got this role. Destiny picked me for this role and I can say that I am very similar to Babu in many aspects.”
Ankit is as of now geared up for the shoot of Babu. “There are high expectations and I will put in my best.”
