The 2004 Aitraaz film, featuring Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor and Akshay Kumar was a hit. The film got immense praise from the movie buffs in the country, followed by the trio’s brilliant acting prowess on the screen.
The film portrays a story of a man who has been accused of sexual harassment by his lady boss at the office, however, later the table turns and the man happens to be innocent. The film had a huge commercial success back then. However, did you know that the film was actually based on the life of later basketball player, Kobe Bryant?
Akshay Kumar in an interview with Rediff, said, “Aitraaz is based on the life of [American] basketball player Kobe Bryant. He was sued for sexual harassment. This film is going to create a new kind of mainstream genre.” as quoted by Koi Moi.
