Though she was raised in England, Emma Watson was born in Paris, France, on April 15, 1990. With Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, the actress received her big break when she was a young girl. She continued to play Hermione Granger in the eight films in the franchise, which allowed her to experience adulthood on screen. When casting directors for a future film based on the first book in the best-selling Harry Potter series came to Watson’s theatre professors, she had never had any professional acting experience.
