Akshay Oberoi is one of the finest and most good-looking actors to have emerged in the last few years in our country, all thanks to OTT. Akshay started his career with theatre under the guidance of the veteran Makrand Deshpande in Prithvi Theatre and ever since the time his journey took off, there was no looking back for this young and talented actor. Some of his best works include the likes of Gurgaon, Laal Rang, Junglee, Illegal, Selection Day, High & many more. And now, Akshay is all set to hit the movie screens in a never-seen-before avatar in Madam Chief Minister alongside Richa Chadda.

One must note that before seeing success in OTT and eventually movies, Akshay went through a phase where his critically acclaimed movies didn’t work in the box office. When asked to reflect on that time of his life, he was quoted as saying,

“Well, it was truly disheartening to see my movies which did well critically didn’t get box office success because the audience demanded only star power back then. Today, I can say that I have experienced even hitting rock bottom in my career. The good thing about that is that when you hit rock bottom, the only way is upwards as it just can’t go down anymore. That thought process certainly helped me a lot and it made me smarter in my script selections as well I guess.”

When asked to comment about his new bald look in the movie, he further added,

“I love experimenting not just with what I play but also with how I look. This took a lot of effort. From getting ready to getting rid of the makeup, it was a task. I used to enter the set first and leave last. I am very excited for this one.”

Madam Chief Minister releases in theatres on January 22, 2021.
