Our country has a rich history of royalty, a strong unyielding army and legendary wars, and even more epic victory! These victories have been inspirations for quite a few Hindi movies! Bollywood has created quite a few amazing films that perfectly capture the legendary wins. Take a look at this list of 5 movies that are based on the historic victory of the Indian army.

1) Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl (2020):
This woman-oriented movie was quite the talk and was well received. This movie talks about the significant role that the Indian Air force held in the Kargil war. It follows Gunjan Saxena, one of the first female air-force pilots. The title is based on the name that she earns, ‘the Kargil girl’.

2) Dhoop (2003):
This heart-wrenching movie looks at the pain and the grief of the families of the martyrs of the Kargil war. The movie, in particular, follows the family of Capt Anuj Nayyar who Saif Ali Khan played in LOC Kargil.

3) Loc Kargil (2003):
This movie closely follows the events that unfolded during the Kargil war. The center of this film is the devotion of soldiers, their families, and their personal lives regarding the war.

4) Tango Charlie (2005):
This movie focuses on the BSF and CRPF jawans who played quite a significant role (that is often not talked about as much) as they controlled riots over North India.

5) Lakshya (2004):
This stunning movie, starring Farhan Akhtar follows his character who has no aim in life. But all of this changed once he joined the armed forces. The movie is set with the backdrop of the Kargil war.
