The south Indian film industry has gained more recognition from a bigger audience every day. The industry has some really talented actors who have already reeled in a huge number of fans. These actors have become global icons with the phenomenal way their movies have hit the blockbuster! But which actor is the highest paid of them all? 1) Rajnikanth:
This actor is undeniably the legend of Tamil Cinema and is one of the highest-earning actors in the country. He is a well-recognized face in the Hindi, Kannada, and Telugu film industries. He made his debut back in 1975 with his movie, Apoorva Raagangal, and ever since he has been an unstoppable force. According to an entertainment blog by Paytm, his remunerations start from Rs. 40 crores and goes up to Rs. 60 crores.

2) Joseph Vijay:

This superstar started his career in 1992 with the movie Naalaya Theerpu. A Paytm entertainment blog reports that the actor’s remunerations ranged from Rs. 25 crores and Rs. 35 crores.

3) Ajith Kumar:
This superstar has a long list of hits under his belt. He first got recognition with his 1995 thriller movie Aasai. Since then the actor has had quite a few successes. The actor’s remuneration according to the Paytm Entertainment report states at Rs. 25 crores and reaches up to a hefty sum of Rs. 50 crores.

4) Kamal Haasan:
This actor was a child artist and made his debut in the 1960 film Kalathoor Kannamma. He has worked in several different language films including Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, and even Hindi. His pay ranged from Rs. 20 – Rs. 30 crores according to a Paytm report.

5) Prabhas:
This popular Baahubali actor needs no introduction! The actor made his debut in 2002 and delivered several hits! And after his work in the blockbuster movie, he had all eyes on him. A Paytm report states that the actor gets paid between Rs. 15 – Rs. 25 crores.

6) Mahesh Babu:
Lastly, we have Mahesh Babu. The actor has made quite an impact in the industry in the last decade since he started his career in acting. He is a celebrated celeb not only in the Southern audience but globally. His remuneration starts at 18 crores according to Paytm reports.
