All those who have watched Love Aaj Kal have noticed Sara Ali Khan’s character’s Punjabi boyfriend played by Guneet Singh Sodhi.
“He is not a bad guy who will rape women, but yes, he is a rich brat with lots of egos. I am glad my work has been appreciated by the critics as well,” says Guneet, who also hails from Punjab.
“I had a blast on the set. At first, I was worried about how the biggies will behave with me going by what we usually hear of their attitude. But I was pleasantly surprised, for Sara was very friendly and down to earth, we hit off on day one,” adds he.
“Although I did not have any scenes with Kartik Aryan, yet he remembered me by my name”, says he.
Ask as to what went wrong with Love Aaj Kal?, which tanked, he says, “Honestly, I loved this very today film, but sometime Imtiaz sir’s work takes time to be appreciated.”
“Also, as of now action and masala films seem to find more takers. While Sir’s films have a lot of realism, i.e., Tamasha and Rockstar. Similar strands are seen in Love Aaj Kal as well,” reasons Guneet.
Looking ahead, Guneet will soon start shooting for his bit in Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Lal Singh Chaddha as well.
“I can’t give out more details. But to suffice to say it will be an interesting film (something like Forest Gump) to watch out for.”
Besides TV, Guneet is also ready for digitial content. “I have done a few shorts. I am open for juicy web series as well,” ends the actor.
