1. Into The Wild

Christopher McCandless, a recent graduate, gave away all of his belongings and money to charity and hitchhiked through Northern America to Alaska, where he attempted to live in the wilderness. Sean Penn directed this moving portrayal of his adventure, which stars Emile Hirsch in many of the real-life locales visited by Christopher, alias “Alexander Supertramp.” Enjoy tranquil Lake Tahoe, Beard’s Hollow camping, kayaking down the Colorado River, and running with wild horses… Until things take a darker turn, there’s enough to envy.

2. Under the Tuscan Sun

This memoir adaption includes scenery as delightful as Diane Lane’s lead performance in a cheery comedy-drama about a divorcee rediscovering herself. Frances Mayes’ friends take her on a tour of Tuscany, where she falls in love with a run-down house and buys it on the spur of the moment. She meets a lot of interesting people, such as Polish builders and an eccentric old British actor, and she ends up working as a huge fixer-upper. The picture was shot in and around Cortona, near Arezzo, and features beautiful small villas built into the hillside with views of shimmering rivers.

3. 2 Days In Paris

Julie Delpy writes, directs, and acts in this witty dramedy that takes a lighthearted look at the idea of a romantic city vacation. She plays Marion, a New York-based photographer who decides to spend two days in Paris with her neurotic lover Jack (Adam Goldberg). The Père Lachaise cemetery, the Pasteur metro station, and – if you miss the Eurostar – the Gare du Nord are all included.

4. On The Road

Literature’s most famous road trip, based on Jack Kerouac’s novel set in the late 1940s/early 1950s, did not make it to the big screen until 55 years after the book was released. Sam Riley is a writer who travels by vehicle and bus to Denver, North Carolina, San Francisco, and Mexico. Visit this site to live vicariously through a hedonistic road trip with sexually fluid bohemians played by a who’s who of Hollywood’s attractive, including Garrett Hedlund, Kristen Stewart, Amy Adams, Tom Sturridge, and Kirsten Dunst.

5. Before Sunrise

The romantic backdrop for this cult movie starring Julie Delpy and Ethan Hawke is a train to the city of Vienna. They spend the beautiful night together after meeting on the route. Their candid, genuine discussions are engaging and amusing, and it’s easy to fall in love with Vienna as they ride trams and ferris wheels along the Danube’s banks. Before Sunset and Before Midnight, directed by Richard Linklater, followed, although this is by far the most romantic of the sequence.
