Ronit Roy the ace performer is looking forward to the COVID cases in India dropping considerably so that the fear in the normal layman of getting infected with the virus subsides.

Ronit who has recently got back to Mumbai has taken both of his jabs. He says, “I have taken both my shots. It is so far so good. Mumbai has got better, but cases along with a considerable death rate are still there. Though the count has drastically decreased, the numbers prevalent now are also painful. Let us hope it settles down.”

Ronit and his family were in Goa for the last three months. “We spent most of the second wave amid pandemic in Goa. We used to go for our drives. We were enjoying the simple things of life in Goa at our house. We have a little bit of land. We have a pool, trees, and plants. So we were literally with Nature.”

Ronit who was last seen in Hostages 2 and Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain 3, has been taking it easy with regards to work. “For the past month and a half, I have been getting offers. But they are not what I want. I have got some 15 to 20 offers, but I was not for them. I want to take up something that I fall in love with.”

Reading his fans’ minds, Ronit however, tells us, “Fans want the next season of Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain, and Hostages. But I don’t know what is in Ekta’s mind. As for me, I was shooting for Shamshera. I have a bit of dubbing left of that. Shoot for movies is not happening right now. However, there have been indications of work starting slowly.”

However, Ronit is aware of the possibility of a third wave cropping up. “Historically, whenever there is a pandemic, there are always three waves. Usually, the second wave is the worst while the third wave should not be so worrisome. The second wave has taken away a lot of lives. I hope and pray that we see some better times ahead.”

Wish you all the very best, Ronit!!
